Hi there and thanks for dropping by the Preschool Books Blog. We’re very excited about our new blog and being able to share our love of books with you.
We’re TheDad and TheMom and we are the proud parents of two amazing girls. The oldest is 5 years old and it seems like we’ve been reading to her pretty much from the day she was born. She loves books and always has. We usually read about 2-3 books every night before bedtime and then we go on to made up and real life stories. The youngest just turned one and we’re well on our way to beginning this wonderful book reading tradition with her as well.
In our house you’ll find books everywhere. In the girls rooms, our room, playroom, living room. We’re always on the hunt for a great story and terrific illustrations. But sifting through the thousands of preschool books out there is quite the daunting task. So we decided to start this blog as a way to help other parents find the true gems. We aren’t going to pretend that we are some sort of literary scholars and instead we’ll tell you what we like as parents, what our kids love to hear over and over again and point you to Amazon to go get it.
And we would love to hear from you too. You can leave us a comment with a suggestion or your thoughts on a specific book. If you agree or disagree with what we wrote about a book, just let us know. If you’re the author of one of the books we reviewed and would like a link to your site, tell us. If you’re an author of a book we haven’t reviewed yet, we’d love to review your book. Just leave us a comment and we’ll let you know if we have the book or how to send us a copy.
